This image was inspired by a holiday in North Wales, catching our dog sitting on the beach taking it all in. Tessa is looking out towards the sea, enhancing a sense of solitude and contemplation. The beach features a mix of sandy areas with yellow ochre hues lending the image a vivid vibrancy with the glowing light of the sun, a vibrant warmth and optimism. The long grassy areas are layered in an experimental dabbing sort of way to create a blade like sharpness and mottled effect. Above the horizon, the sky transitions from a vivid pink, evoking feelings of comfort, warmth and hope to a vivid blue, adding to the peaceful and tranquil atmosphere evoked by the pastel colors used throughout the scene. This setting conveys a strong feeling of relaxation and peacefulness.
