Bio
Sarah Nind is a professional artist working in painting, photo-based and mixed media. She has been the recipient of numerous Canada Council awards, including the Paris studio. Her work has been exhibited widely nationally and internationally: the National Gallery of Canada; the Canadian Museum of Contemporary Photography, Ottawa; the Museum on the Seam, Jerusalem, Israel; Yuanfen New Media Space, Beijing, China.
Sarah Nind was born in Kuala Belait, Brunei. She currently lives in Toronto, Canada, where she is a professor in the Drawing and Painting Department at OCAD University. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Architecture, University of Toronto, a Master of Fine Art, York University, and a Ph.D of Philosophy, European Graduate School, Saas-Fee, Switzerland. Sarah Nind is represented in Canada by Galerie Youn, Montréal and Newzones Gallery, Calgary.
The artist holds dual citizenship between the Great Britain and Canada.
