About me
Bio
Olivia Peach (b. 1980 Atlanta, GA) began her career as an artist over twenty years ago, when she completed her BFA at the The School of Visual Arts in New York City. During her time living and working in New York, Olivia mastered a variety of mediums, including pastels, oils, acrylics, and mixed media. Olivia’s body of work has a wide range of styles. She seamlessly pivots from photorealistic paintings, to surrealism, to abstract work that combines loose brushwork and light sources, to figurative, illustrative line work.

After years of study and practice, Olivia has honed in on styles that emphasize her expertise in both Illustration and Fine Art. Olivia’s work is inspired by music and lyrical compositions, nature, the cosmos, light and dark dynamics and her individual spiritual journey. Her chosen mediums are acrylic on canvas, acrylic ink on watercolor paper, and the simplicity of pencil on paper.

Olivia’s expansive variety of art pieces are both fluid and technically driven. She uses bold colors in broad brush strokes through loose color transitions and carefully painted light orbs that dance and trickle around her canvas of color. One of the inspirations for this body of work is derived from the life force of the universe, using illuminated celestial spheres to achieve depth throughout the painting that feels as deep as space itself. These works pull out light from dark, as a metaphor of hope and inspiration. The moving light shapes and sizes are symbolic of the shifts and changes in the human mind, and ones personal journey as people are in constant motion maneuvering feelings and experiences.

Olivia also enjoys painting smaller studies inspired by trees, the sky and beyond. Watching sunrises and sunsets as the backdrop for organically painted trees amidst the color gradients of earths atmosphere.

Her other styles of work involve thoughtful illustrious depictions of songs, stories and ideas with pointed visual imagery through drawn and painted line work. Olivia finds thought provoking lyrics intriguing to work with and carefully crafts a visual story using such literary elements.

Within her different bodies of art, one will see the common connection in her range of methodologies. Olivia has chosen to continue this mode of creativity so she is not limiting herself creatively, feeling she has so many ideas to encapsulate. Each body of art having a different feeling, and therefore needing a different style. Each body of work is consistent and uniquely connected to the other.
