Kayci utilises a wide range of mixed media materials to create expressive marks and foundations, built upon by the thoughtful layering of rich oil paint to render out her subjects and compositions. The power of the female face has become an area of deep exploration within her work, and her pieces juxtapose wistful expressions and the softness of skin, against abstraction and texture. Her work explores the symbolism of both flora and fauna, combining them with female portraiture to capture the essence of moments and feelings, often left unnoticed. Kayci aims to inspire and uplift, working to change the narrative of what it means to be beautiful, worthy, and valued. She is deeply humbled and inspired by the innate beauty of simple pleasures, moments taken for granted, and the beauty of a life rich in harmony and compassion.
