Bio
Gift Dlamini a South African fine artist who is born-and-bred in Kwa mashu north of Durban, a descendant of the Zulu clan. I began illustrated art at the tender age of 14 years while i was in high school at Mzuvele High School and later at eThekwini College.

I think Art is a gift, given to you by your ancestors and God, so to put it blunt I've always wanted to be an artist as its the one thing that come naturally to me.
As a Zulu young man growing up among my own people my work as an artist has strangly been influenced by my environment and the social issues of black society. And yes, my work has transformed over time, i began by just drawing people's faces and the wild life and through my education and other influences, i start to focus more on social ills and issues around women their challenges in modern society. I have also learnt feom other artist and they have influenced my work. My work process is simple, i use acrylic paint and i paint on the newspaper. I started using this method at an early age when i couldn't afford to buy canvas or professional papers, and till today i use thw same method.

What is inspires me is nature and all that exist within it and yes the people i encounter everyday. I'm deiven by the need to learn more and develop as an artist.
