Bio
Dezzie is a Paris-based artist who holds a MFA from l’École supérieure des arts décoratifs de Strasbourg, France (now called Haute école des arts du Rhin) and a from the Frank Mohr Institute in Groningen, the Netherlands.
Dezzie is also a designer, UX strategist and a system thinker at Google since 2005. She is committed to enabling the development of inclusive and equitable products. She’s currently creating frameworks and systems that bring an inclusive lens throughout the entire design and development process to build better products that allow ALL users to feel seen and valued.
As a child Dezzie migrated with her mother from her birthplace Madagascar to France and has (and is still seeking) where she truly belongs. Just like she is now seeking where she fits in as an artist after many years being adrift from her own practice: building a family and an unexpected career in tech.
This journey has led her on the universal quest to find where she truly belongs. For Dezzie, connections and networks are the material that weave through the fabric of her artistic narrative. She believes that these connections play a fundamental role in shaping our identities and the intricate dynamics of our relationships with others.
Dezzie’s art aims to explore nature's captivating patterns, interconnectedness, and the intricate networks that govern the natural world. Through her practice, she often finds herself on a meditative quest to understand her own place within this world and I seek to invite viewers to find their own way to do so.
