Bio

Dan Simoneau has been painting, primarily in acrylic and watercolor, for over 50 years. He holds signature status in many esteemed art organizations. Dan's work centers on the male figure, combining classical figurative tradition with a contemporary sense of intimacy, presence, and emotional depth. He explores the interplay of light, anatomy, gesture, and mood to reveal not only the physical form, but also the quiet inner life of his subjects. Through his dedication to reviving and reimagining male figurative art, Dan creates work that is both technically grounded and deeply human, inviting viewers to see masculinity with greater empathy, nuance, and clarity.
