About me
Bio
Cesar Vianna is a multitask Canadian / Brazilian professional artist. He is a member of the International Association of Visual Artists (IAVA). He was born in Sao Paulo, where he studied design and architecture and several years he taught how to draw and art history. He arrived in Canada in 2012 (Province of Quebec) where he obtained another degree in Visual Arts at Laval University. He has lived and worked there since then.

Among his multiple skills, his most important skill is illustration. Also, he has other skills such as photography, acrylic painting, watercolor, pastel, screen printing, lithography, wash-off, scratchboard, wood burning and some from non conventional materials (such as eye shadows, for example). His work is very eclectic. In his journey, he explores different techniques (conventional and non conventional). His principal goal is illustration. He draws with pencils, brushes, wood burners and other tools. He looks to create an impact on the public with his art. As a citizen of 2 countries, he doesn't have a specific aesthetic. His work is sometimes realistic, sometimes surreal / abstract. He seeks the perfection of images from the classical past combined with the attitude and abstraction of contemporary arts. The nature and complexity of human forms are his sources of inspiration. He uses vibrant colors and strong contrasts on minimalist representations. His work is very luminous and vibrant. After the pandemics, he realized the world was really dark, almost miserable because of the situation we were living in. He canalized all negative energy of that moment and started to explore and research new technics. Pandemics opened a new door for him, the world's door. He started to know people from different parts of the globe and he inspired his artwork on those people. All characters he had in his 2020, 2021 and 2022 production are inspired by real people from different countries. Ordinary people with real problems that never thought one day could be in an art piece.

At last, he draws what he sees, what he feels and he does it with passion and instinct.
