I am a self taught Waverley, NS based landscape artist and veteran working in acrylic and watercolour with occasional forays into digital art, pencils and oils. I started my art journey in 2019.
I paint at the intersection of land, sea and sky. I favour landscapes, but will paint almost anything. I paint to cement memories of interesting places I have been to or would like to visit and things that catch my eye. I work primarily in acrylic, watercolour and pencil/ink, with occasional forays into digital art and water mixable oils. I paint with a limited palette, usually limited to primary cyan, magenta, yellow and white, but any three primaries that suit the scene will do. Most of my work has been smaller 8x11 or less, but I also do larger work. My current work in progress is a 4’ x 6’ painting of Peggy’s Cove and my next will be a 7’ x 9’ sunset painting on my garage door. I am open for commissions.
