Details: This work originates from a journey to Scotland and seeks to capture its essence through a surrealist approach, where reality and fantasy intertwine. The full moon, which accompanied us throughout the journey, acts as a symbol of guidance and a connection to both the natural and the mythical. Under its light, elements such as the unicorn —the national animal—, a ruined castle evoking the passage of time, and landscapes inspired by Scottish cliffs and the architecture of Edinburgh coexist. The thistle, the national flower, completes the composition as a symbol of resilience. Overall, the work suggests that any journey can transcend lived experience and transform into a mythical narrative. The title refers to Artemis, goddess of the moon and wild nature, and also establishes a dialogue with the moment of its creation, coinciding with the Artemis mission.
