Shumila Khan is the multidisciplinary, mixed-media artist behind Shumila Studio NY, specializing in Eastern folklore and Persian art.
Drawn to global cultures and storytelling, Shumila enjoys engaging and experimenting with various techniques and mediums including oil, acrylic, drawing, pastels, fiber arts, printmaking, collages, and jewelry design.
Shumila became an artist at a young age, inspired and guided by a family of artists and academics. She has received several awards from APPNA (Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America). In her past time, she actively coordinates local events that revolve around artistic expression, cultural awareness, and women's empowerment. She has won several competitions and received several awards in creativity and supporting the community.
She has displayed her work in numerous exhibitions in New York, Pennsylvania, and abroad. She continues to build upon and expand her skills through various local art institutions, including Temple University's Art Therapy program. She participated as a Solo artist at Art Expo NewYork 2025.
