Every face has something that makes it unique. As a portrait artist, I capture the personality, likeness and even mood of a person in a painting, with the face as the main focus. Face portraiture reflects what the artist sees before her or pulls from her memory or a photo.
I create original portraits and hand-paint person's and pet's essence on canvas. My art brings me joy and personal satisfaction, but it also touches other people's lives. I love when a beautiful piece of art and life come together and my clients are blown away at what I can capture visually. I concentrate on the lighting, how the colours must harmonize, how compositional elements must lead the eye around the painting, how I need to create a mood.
I use acrylic paints, pencils, oil pastels, or most any other kind of medium to capture the likeness and the personality of my subject on canvas, paper, or another surface.
